Goals / Objectives
  1. Evaluate early growth, tree health, and cropping of trees in several new field trials planted under previous Huanglongbing Multi-Agency Coordination Group (HLB MAC) projects.
  2. Assist in care and management of trees in the trials, as needed.
  3. Hold field days at some of these trials to showcase the new rootstocks, scions, and other information learned from the trials.
Methods (unparsed)

Trees with Valencia sweet orange and other commercial scions and numerous rootstocks were produced by commercial citrus nurseries under previous 1. Evaluate early growth, tree health, and cropping of trees in several new field trials planted under previous Huanglongbing Multi-Agency Coordination Group (HLB MAC) funded projects for establishment of field trials to evaluate rootstock and scion cultivars for performance and tolerance to HLB. Some of these field trials have been planted, and others still in the nursery will be field planted soon. This new project will complete planting of the previously planned field trials, assist in establishment care of the trees in the trials, and collect subsequent information on tree growth, tree health, and cropping. The resulting information will be disseminated through publications and field days and will help inform citrus growers and other stakeholders about the relative value of the many different rootstock and scion cultivars available.
